…and a beautifully soft natural fibre wool is endless.
Introducing the Frankie Mittens
There are a few reasons why I designed the Frankie Fingerless Mittens. The first, as usual, is because knitters have been popping into the Purl&Jane Skipton studio and asked for some and I love to design patterns that knitters want to knit.
Introducing the Millie Mittens
I designed these mittens for my sister. She spends her Sunday morning on a rugby field watching my young nephews play rugby (or I think it’s called tag rugby at their age) and while she stands on the sidelines her toes and hands get cold
Introducing the Tara Scarf
I love this design because it uses my favourite stitch – garter stitch – and has a detail at the edge of it that is simple to do, yet so effective.
The Stash Busting Crochet Cushion
To me yarn is precious and should be cherished. So much expertise and creativity goes into creating just one ball of yarn.
Simple Knits – Introducing the patterns
When I design a book I try to make sure there is something in there for different knitting moods.
How I design
I designed with several types of knitters in mind, however they all have one thing in common, the love of simple and easy knitting.
My designs and you!
Whenever I design for Purl &Jane, I include patterns for accessories as well as garments for two reasons:
Celebrating Garter Stitch
I always design knitting patterns with the knitter in mind, imagining them sitting down with their yarn and my pattern.
