I design knitting patterns to be simple, clear and enjoyable to knit.
After more than 20 years of designing hand knits, I’ve learned that the best projects are often the ones that feel straightforward and relaxing on your needles. I’m lucky enough to spend my days based in my yarn and design studio in Skipton, North Yorkshire, surrounded by knitters, so I see first-hand what people enjoy making and where patterns can sometimes become more complicated than they need to be.
That’s why my aim is always the same: to write patterns that are easy to follow and satisfying to knit, whether you’re knitting your very first project or an experienced knitter looking for something calm and enjoyable.
