Yarn: Two 50g balls of Kilcarra Tweed (100% Wool, 80m/87yds per 50g).

Metres: approx. 96m to 130m.

My Alternative Yarn Suggestions & Amounts: The Croft Shetland Colours Aran One 100g hank, or WYS Jacob Aran One 100g hank.

Needles: 5mm.

Gauge (tension): 25 stitches and 26 rows to 10cm square over cable pattern using 5mm needles.

Measurements: To fit small dog / puppy or dachshund.

My design ideas and advice: I knitted this for Lana, my dog, when she was a puppy. She is a Shorkie, so a small dog and a small puppy! She was born when we had the months of the thick snow, which she loved playing in! but I was concerned about her being cold in that weather so knitted her a coat to keep her warm. She wasn’t so bothered and loved playing in the snow with or without her coat!
