Metres: 996m.

My Alternative Yarn Suggestions & Amounts: The Croft Shetland Colours Aran Six 100g hanks, or  Kilcarra Tweed Twelve 50g balls.

Needles: 5mm.

Gauge (tension): 18 stitches and 24 rows to 10cm/4ins square over stocking stitch using 5mm needles.

Measurements: approx. 104cm x approx. 100cm.

My design ideas and advice: To me, this blanket evokes feelings of joy, comfort and warmth. The simple square pattern is easy to knit and looks very effective. I always come back to this stitch pattern for blankets. It’s one of my favourites and I love how it looks like the stitches are flowing in and out of each other. It is a delight to knit and to know that love is knitted into every stitch.
