For this pattern I used:
Yarn & Amounts: Five 100g hanks of WYS Bluefaced Leicester Aran – Undyed (100% British Bluefaced Leicester Wool, 166m/182yds per 100g).
Metres/Yardage: 830m.
My Alternative Yarn Suggestions & Amounts: The Croft Shetland Colours Aran or The Croft Shetland Tweed Aran, Five 100g hanks.
Needles: 5mm.
Gauge (tension): 26 stitches and 24 rows to 10cm/4ins square over cable pattern using 5mm needles.
Measurements: approx.54cm x approx. 102cm.
My design ideas and advice: I designed all my blankets so that they don’t have a ‘wrong side’. This means that when you and/or your little one are wrapped up in them it doesn’t matter which side is on show because both look good. This is one of the reasons why I love this cable pattern, it is the same on both sides! It is great as a blanket for a baby or adult or as a cosy scarf for an adult.
