For this pattern I used:
Yarn & Amounts: One 50g ball of WYS Bluefaced Leicester DK – Undyed (100% British Bluefaced Leicester wool, 100g/225m/246yds).
Metres:approx. 55m.
Needles: 3.25mm.
Notions (for shoe version): Two buttons (size is approx. 6mm in diameter).
Gauge (tension): 24 stitches and 40 rows to 10cm square over garter stitch using 3.25mm needles.
Size: Length of foot: approximately 8cm.
My design ideas and advice: These simple baby bootees are the perfect hand made gift for the new bundle of joy! They are easy to knit so they are a good introduction for those new to knitting or those returning to knitting to create something unique and special for the loved one. They also take up less than half a ball of yarn so great for using up any oddments after knitting baby’s first hand knit garment.
