My Alternative Yarn Suggestions & Amounts: Illustrious Naturals DK One 100g hank, or Mohair Tweed 1(2:2) 50g ball(s).
Needles: 4mm needles.
Tension: 22 stitches and 44 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch using 4mm needles.
Sizes, to fit (suggested): newborn, baby, child.
My design ideas and advice: This hat is knitted in my favourite stitch and simply made into a hat. I designed this one for new knitters that wanted to progress on from knitted squares or scarves. This is ideal because it is still knitted straight up – until the last few rows and then you can practise decreasing. For more experienced knitters I feel it is the perfect weekend project. For everyone it is the perfect gift, a hand knitted accessory in a favourite shade of a gorgeous yarn to keep the recipient feeling warm and happy.
