For this pattern I used:
Yarn & Amounts: One 100g hank each of Purl &Jane super super superchunky (100% Merino Wool, e 500g/60m/65yds) in shade A and shade B.
Needles: 20mm.
Notions: 3 buttons.
Cushion pad to fit. I used a 30cm x 30cm pad.
Gauge (tension): 4 stitches and 10 rows to 10cm square over pattern using 20mm needles.
Measurements: approx. 40cm wide x 80cm long.
Kit: This pattern is also available as a kit.
My design ideas and advice: This is an addictive yarn! So quick and easy to knit. I knitted this cushion over two evenings, though I can see it being a great soothing Sunday project for binge watching boxsets.
If you are a beginner, or someone who craves quick results this yarn is perfect for you!
I used by favourite slip stitch (or mosaic) pattern for this cushion. This means you are only ever using one colour along the row, yet by slipping the stitches form one needle to the other in regular repeats it looks like you are doing something more complicated than you actually are.
When you try this you will be impressed and amazed at how simple this is.
As this is a unique yarns exlcusive to Purl &Jane I’ve created a couple of Youtubes to help with the finishing of this cushion.
