MY DESIGN IDEAS AND ADVICE
I love the chevron stitch – it’s one of those patterns that feels a little bit magical, especially when you add stripes.
This cushion is worked in a clever combination of slipping stitches and making stitches as you go and the way the rows build creates a beautiful zig zag effect that looks far more complex than it is.
A wonderfully satisfying knit – simple techniques, striking results.
CONSTRUCTION
Knitted flat from the bottom up in one piece, folded and then the side seams are joined together.
TECHNIQUES USED
Cast on, knit, purl, simple stripes, chervon lace, buttonholes and cast off. Joining seams. Sewing on buttons. Optional but recommended to create the feeling of joy when joining your seams: mattress stitch.
YARN
One 100g hank each of WYS Jacob Aran in shade A (01 Natural Brown/Black), shade B (02 Natural Light Grey) and shade C (03 Natural Grey).

Six buttons (size is approx. 30mm in diameter).
