For this pattern you may use*:

Yarn & Amounts: One 50g ball of WYS Bluefaced Leicester DK – Dyed (100% Bluefaced Leicester wool, 112m/122yds per 50g).

Metres: Approx. 112m.

Needles: 4mm circular needles (40cm length).

Gauge (tension): 22 stitches and 42 rows to 10cm/4ins square over pattern using 4mm needles.

Measurements: 50cm x 10cm.

My design ideas and advice: Catherine is ideal for those who haven’t used circular needles before, to practice with as it only takes one 50g hank and is small enough to see results quickly. So great to use that luxury yarn you’ve always wanted to treat yourself to! It is also ideal for more experienced knitters who want to add a touch of colour to their outfit. The pattern is very versatile, it can be used as a neck warmer, ear warmer, or if knitted to half the length, a hair band!

*the yarn I used for this pattern has been discontinued and so I’ve suggested the yarn above as a good substitute. I’ve helped visitors to my studio pick shades in this yarn for this pattern and it looked fab!
