For this pattern I used:

Yarn & Amounts: One 100g hank of WYS Bluefaced Leicester Aran – Undyed (100% Bluefaced Leicester wool, 166m/182yds per 100g).

Metres: Approx. 80m.

My Alternative Yarn Suggestions & Amounts: WYS Bluefaced Leicester Aran – Undyed in shade 04 Natural Variegated one 100g hank, or Kilcarra Tweed one 50g ball.

Needles: 5mm.

Gauge (tension): 17 stitches and 38 rows to 10cm/4ins square over ridge pattern using 5mm needles.

Measurements: approx. 17cm x 17cm.

My design ideas and advice: I designed these for my second Learn To Knit class, so they are perfect for anyone wanting to learn to purl! For experienced knitters, these are great for a quick knit to use up any stash or even just as an excuse to try out a new beautiful yarn.
