My design ideas and advice: This pattern has been much requested recently by knitters who pop into the Skipton Studio. It is the crew neck version of this one and is another design that joins the family of simple designs inspired by vintage patterns. Do you know what they are?
I love using stitches to create shape as we all have different body shapes and my knitted garments are magical – I design them so they fit your unique shape perfectly. All you need to do is get the correct tension and pick the correct size for you!
For this pattern I used:
Yarn & Amounts: 5(5:6:6:7) 50g balls of Mohair Tweed (70% merino/30% mohair, 110m/120yds per 50g)or Coast (55% lambswool & 45% cotton, 117m/127yds per 50g) for short version.
5(6:6:7:7) 50g balls of Mohair Tweed or Coast for long version.
Needles: 3.75mm and 4mm.
Gauge (tension): 19 stitches and 27 rows to 10cm/4ins square over stocking stitch using 4mm needles.
