My design ideas and advice: This is a great “My first Jumper” project for beginners or those returning to knitting after a break. It uses knit and purl. There aren’t any stitches to pick up. It is made up of two squares without any shaping. And two sleeves with increasing.
I love designing these simple shapes to get people knitting! I look for the little details that take a while to find when designing but make the knitting of it oh so simple.
This is a very firm favourite with knitters who pop into the Skipton shop. Another reason I designed this baby jumper because knitters were asking me for a premature baby pattern.
It’s a simple quick jumper for experienced knitters who may have limited time to get something knitted yet know the gift of a hand knit is like nothing else.
