Metres: Approx. 80(100:120)m, including pompom.
My Alternative Yarn Suggestions & Amounts: The Croft Shetland Aran Colours one 100g hank.
Needles: 4mm and 4.5mm.
Gauge (tension): 22 stitches and 38 rows to 10cm/4ins square over garter stitch using 4.5mm needles.
Size: Newborn, baby, child.
My design ideas and advice: I designed this hat based on my childhood memories of a cable hat that my mother knitted for me when I was a baby. There are photos of me wearing it and then photos of my younger sister wearing the same hat a couple of years later.
