My design ideas and advice: I named this pattern after a the name of a street I lived on as a child. It was called Tory because it was on a very steep hill, with rumours that some of the houses tunnelled into the rock behind the houses. Tor is old English for rock or hill and these little stitches look like little hills so I thought it was the perfect name for it. I love this pattern. It is a design I knitted years before I wrote a pattern for it. I used to wear it and received lots of compliments for it, so decided to write and publish the pattern for others to enjoy! I’m knitting it in another shade, a colourful one, and I can’t wait to finish it and wear it.
