For this pattern I used:

Yarn: One 100g hank of lace weight yarn.

Metres: 800m.

Needles: 2.75mm long circular knitting needle.

Tension: 28 stitches and 56 rows to 10cm/4in square over garter stitch using 2.75mm needle.

Measurements: 58cm x 138cm.

My design ideas and advice: This shawl is very simple yet very effective. It starts off small and grows and grows. It is knitted in a lace weight yarn, one of the finest yarns you can get.
I designed this as a way to get used to knitting a shawl without any complicated lace patterns to get confused on with the increases. This is just a lovely calm garter stitch shawl with a small detail of the very basic lace work (e.g yon) yet it creates a very effective look.
