My design ideas and advice: Sometimes you just want to go to the familiar, something to comfort. Something you know like the back of your hand but it’s not something you want to do all the time. So there are granny square blankets and if you get addicted to granny squares these can make a great blanket but what happens if you just want to crochet a few over a few of evenings or long weekend? Then make those five squares into a headband! Or ten squares into a narrow scarf! Or, if you get another ball, you can make a long narrow scarf of twenty squares.

For this pattern I used:

Yarn & Amounts: One 100g ball of WYS Fable Aran OR One 100g hank WYS Croft Shetland Aran

Hook : 5mm.

Gauge (tension):  one square measures 10cm x 10cm using 5mm hook.

Size of headband: approx. 10cm x 50cm.

Size of scarf: approx. 10cm x 100cm.

The pattern for experienced crocheters: The pattern is super easy so for some you can do this will just the very basic instructions of 4 round granny square, sew five together to make a headband and as many as you want for a narrow square as long or as short as you want.
The download pattern is more beginner friendly with more instructions.
