My design ideas and advice: This jumper is knitted in pieces and is a super easy pattern to sit and relax with because the back is just basically a square. This jumper is based on another jumper that I designed about 20 years ago and was a beloved classic. However, as it sometimes happens with yarn, the yarn I chose to design the original jumper was discontinued so I thought I’d update the classic pattern with a current gorgeous yarn! This Mohair Tweed is perfect for this hand knit garment. It has the twinkle of the different coloured kneps and the beautiful haze of the mohair with the softness of the merino.
For this pattern I used:
Yarn & Amounts: 10(12:15:16:17) 50g balls of Mohair Tweed (70% merino/30% mohair, 110m/120yds per 50g)
Needles: 4mm knitting needles
Gauge (tension): 19 stitches and 27 rows to 10cm/4ins square over pattern using 4mm needle.
