For this pattern I used:

Yarn & Amounts: 7(8:9:9:10) 100g hanks of WYS Bluefaced Leicester Aran – Undyed (100% British Bluefaced Leicester wool, 166m/182yds per 100g).

Metres: 1120(1280:1440:1440:1600)m

My Alternative Yarn Suggestions & Amounts: The Croft Shetland Colours Aran 100g hanks, or Kilcarra Tweed 12(13:14:16) 50g balls.

Needles: 4.5mm and 5mm.

Notions: 6 Buttons.

Gauge (tension): 18 stitches and 24 rows to 10cm/4ins square over stocking stitch using 5mm needles.

My designs ideas and advice: This cardigan is another Purl &Jane Studio request – this is one is where I have designed a child’s cable cardigan and I had lots of requests for an adult version…with pockets! I love a cable hand knit, they are timeless. This one is a very simple one to knit. I design my cables so they work together which means after a few repeats the knitter can just sit back and get into a rhythm of soothing stitches.
