Tor Hat Pattern

My design ideas and advice: This is one of my favourite hat patterns, just because I love knitting with this yarn and because it is chunky it knits up quickly. There is something giving about this Soft Donegal. It is made traditionally in Donegal and this I love, it is soft which is perfect for a hat and I feel it bounces, there is something about it that makes it feel bouncy in my hands – like soft fluffy clouds.

For this pattern I used:

Yarn & Amounts: One 50g balls of Soft Donegal Chunky (100% Merino Wool, 63m/68yds per 50g) in shade A and two 50g balls in shade B.

Needles: 5.5mm.

Tension: 16 stitches and 21 rows to 10cm square over rib pattern when using 5.5mm needles.

Size: To fit an average size head.
