I designed this because a new crocheter asked me how to create a crochet bowl. When I explained how simple it was, she still looked confused and asked me to write it down. And that’s how this pattern began. But then I spent the summer addicted to making these little bowls. The sit comfortably in my hand and are great for keeping all those little things that need a home. I named the pattern Simbo after one of the Solomon Islands where the villagers (traditionally the women) have been handcrafting wooden bowls for hundreds of years.
For this pattern I used:
Yarn & Amounts: One 50g ball of aran weight yarn.
Metres: 80m.
Hook: 4.5mm.
Measurements: my bowls measured approx. 8cm (base) and approx. 14cm high (before being folded over)
