Description
Not all sheep are the same, and the Bluefaced Leicester knows it! With its grand Roman nose and the softest British fleece, it’s as if it’s saying, “My wool is the finest!” And it really is – the softest British wool, perfect for both baby and adult knits.
Wool naturally regulates temperature, keeping little ones (and big ones!) cosy without overheating. It’s also hypoallergenic, antibacterial and dirt-resistant, meaning it stays fresher for longer (some even refresh their woollens in snow instead of washing – yes, that’s a thing!).
Better still, it’s 100% renewable, sustainable and biodegradable. And ours is spun locally by West Yorkshire Spinners, keeping the carbon footprint low and the quality high.
Available in DK, in undyed and dyed shades & Aran in undyed shades – those dyed shades have a unique depth from being dyed on a light brown base, adding even more character to every stitch.
A dream to knit and crochet with – because there’s always more than meets the eye in a hank of wool!
West Yorkshire Spinners share a philosophy with Purl &Jane – reared, sheared and spun in Britain.
Situated near the original home of the British Worsted Spinning Industry, West Yorkshire Spinners combines state of the art technology with generations of expertise and unrivalled know-how to produce British hand knitting yarns of exceptional quality.
West Yorkshire Spinners are extremely proud of their British Heritage, they are one of the few remaining worsted spinning companies left in the United Kingdom. They firmly believe that knowing where their raw material comes from guarantees that the quality of the finished product is consistently high.
They source all their own raw material which is then produced into knitting yarn in their state of the art factory based in West Yorkshire.
