Superspace Hat Pattern

£4.50

This single pattern is available as a download.

My design ideas and advice: After I designed the Clacton Jumper I wondered if you could knit a hat fromthe top down. I played around with ideas and here is the result! This Superspace Hat is knitted form the top down, that means we start at the top of the hat, then immediately shape the crown and then knit the length, this means it is great for using up yarn in your stash or you can knit it to your desired length without any guessing of how much to allow for the shape crown.
This hat is knitted flat, so there is a seam. It uses knit, purl and inc1.

For this pattern I used:

Yarn & Amounts: One 100g hank of Purl &Jane Superspace (100%  wool, 100g/65m/71yds)

Needles: 9mm.

Gauge (tension):  10 stitches and 14 rows to 10cm/4ins square over stocking stitch using 9mm needles.

Sizes:  there are two size options to fit an adult head :: small-medium or medium-large

I chat about the design process of the hat in the first few episodes of my weekly design vlog. Here is the one with the end result. Obviously the pattern is now available to download!
