My design ideas and advice: This sock uses the fairisle technique and is the perfect “My First Fairisle Sock Pattern” Like all my patterns I work hard to make them as easy as possible, I do the hard work so you don’t have to! I kept the pattern monotone but this is a fun pattern to make your own by using different shades on each different fairisle stripe.
I hope you enjoy knitting this pattern, I loved designing it.
There is a kit available for this pattern, click here for more info.
For this pattern I used:
Yarn & Amounts: Two 25g balls of Jamieson’s Spindrift (100% Shetland Wool, 25g, 105m/114yds) in shade A and
One 25g ball each of Jamieson’s Spindrift in shade B.
Needles: 3mm.
Gauge (tension): 28 stitches and 40 rows to 10cm/4ins square over stocking stitch using 3mm needles.
Sizes: UK size 4-5
This pattern fits all foot sizes by knitting to desired foot length as highlighted in the pattern.
You will need 3 balls of shade A to knit a size above size 6.
