Ravenscar Cardigan Pattern

My design ideas and advice: This cardigan, like all of my new patterns, is a request from knitters that pop into the Skipton Studio. This one has been requested a lot! They admired (and lots of you have knitted) the Ravenscar Jumper and wanted a cardigan version. Well, here it is!
There are two versions in this pattern. A short version with a short neck edge and a longer version with a long collar. Obviously, if you fancy it, you can knit the short version with the long collar or vice versa.  I can’t wait to see your variations and how you make this knit personal.

For this pattern I used:

Yarn: 14(15:16:17:18) 50g balls of Kilcarra Tweed (100% Pure New Wool, 80m/87yds per 50g ball) for short version
OR
8(9:9:10:10) 100g hanks of Croft Shetland Aran (100% Shetland Island Wool, 166m/182yds per 100g) for long version.

Needles: 4.5mm and5mm.

Notions: 6 buttons for short version or 7 buttons for long version.

Gauge (tension): 18 stitches and 25 rows to 10cm/4in square over narrow rib pattern using 5mm needles.
