Manos Del Uruguay

Manos del Urugay is a non-profit organisation that supports local women to make a living while remaining in their local village and raising their families.
They are renowned for their fantastic colours, which have become their trademark and have been producing beautiful, natural fibre, hand-dyed yarns since 1968. Their unique, luxurious yarns have been achieved through research and experimenting with traditional techniques over the past 40 years.

Manos del Uruguay colours are never completely solid but have beautiful nuances and tone variations. Each skein is signed by the artisan who lovingly dyed it, and is labelled with the name of her village. Every skein is unique, no two are exactly the same
