For this pattern I used:
Yarn & Amounts: Seven 50g balls of Soft Donegal (100% Merino Wool, 63m/68yds per 50g)
Metres: 440m/481yds.
Needles: 6mm.
Notions: Cable needle.
Tension: 22 stitches and 21 rows to 10cm/4ins square over honeycomb using 6mm needles.
Measurements: 22cm wide by approx. 175cm.
My design ideas and advice: This scarf is perfect for men or women, in fact I designed it for the gentlemen. I designed this years ago and like many knitters it was on my needles for a couple of years before I finished it and that happened in a week! I am asked many times how long it takes to knit something or how long does it take me to knit something. For this scarf it took me about 2 years to knit 4 balls and one week to knit 3 balls! However that obviously doesn’t represent actual knitting time as most of those 2 years it was in a bag waiting to be picked up and knitted!
