My design ideas and advice: This lace crossover cardigan is inspired by my niece, who was about 6 years old when she requested a cardigan to wear for her ballet lessons. With my patterns I always allow for knitters with different row tensions. It is very important to get the stitch tension but we are all different and sometimes while we get stitch tension we might not get row tension and my patterns allow for this discrepancy. However with this one the row tension is very important, if you don’t get the 30 stitch row tension than you may find that the decrease rows *just* fit into the length. If you aren’t getting the 30 rows then I suggest knitting the fronts first and then matching the back to the length of the fronts.
On the neck edging you cast on and pick up the stitches then cast off straight away – the pattren isn’t missing any instructions it really is cast on and pick up the amount of stitches and then cast off! Simples!
