My design ideas and advice: This classic cardigan is perfect for keeping your little one lovely, warm and comfortable while they wear it, it is also perfect for keeping you calm and comfortable while knitting it. I hope you enjoy the soothing and relaxing rhythm of garter stitch as much as I do.
I added rib at the edges of the Ghyllas cardigan because I love the combination of rib and garter stitches. If you prefer just to knit garter stitch then I have two other patterns that you might like to try, the Leighton Jacket and the Higgins Cardigan.
