My design ideas and advice: Lazy, hazy summer days call for simple, easy knitting and that is exactly what I had in mind when I designed this Anne Top. Of course, in the Yorkshire Dales – and other areas of the world! – those lazy hazy summer days can come and go quite quickly. So I wanted to design something that was a simple knit to pick up and put down in between the showers and was ready in time for that day or two of sunshine….or more! And then when the autumn comes, this top is perfect for adding that touch of creative colour to a long sleeved top. There is no shaping on this top and the only joining together is at the side seams and the shoulders are joined together with buttonholes and buttons. I named this pattern after Lady Anne Clifford from  Skipton Castle.
