For this pattern you may use*:

Yarn & Amounts: Two 100g hanks of WYS The Croft Shetland Tweed (100% Shetland Island Wool, 166m/182yds per 100g).

Metres: approx. 330m.

Needles: 5mm.

Gauge (tension): 18 stitches and 36 rows to 10cm/4ins square over garter stitch using 5mm needles.

Measurements: 25cm (at widest part) x approx. 175cm.

My design ideas and advice: This scarf has a lace edge on garter stitch. It is a delicate triangle shape, so you cast on a certain amount, increase to another amount and then decrease down to the initial amount.  It’s a little bit tricky so you might need to concentrate for the first few repeats until you get used to the increases and repeats.

*the yarn I used for this pattern has been discontinued and so I’ve suggested WYS The Croft Shetland Tweed as a substitute.
