My design ideas: This was another knitter’s request. When knitters visit my Skipton Studio I love chatting with them about garments they would love to knit. This waistcoat was the dream of a new knitter who wanted to knit a garment but was nervous about starting it. We decided something like the Matilda (which was still an idea in that conversation!) would be the perfect garment to start with. There are no sleeves (obvs!), only one button and no picking up stitches. Perfect! It is also a perfect “quick” project for an experienced knitter, one to sit and relax with while watching tv, or reading a book or spending time with friends and family, whatever makes you happy!
And if you wanted a version with sleeves then take a look at the Marian Cardigan!
