Kyle Jumper Pattern

This single pattern is available as a download.

My design ideas and advice: This pattern was inspired by the Fishermans’s rib jumpers but it doesn’t use that stitch, instead it uses a more simple one. It’s just a 2 row repeat and once you get used to the repeats you don’t need to look at the written pattern, so you can sit back and relax.

The other great thing about this pattern is there aren’t any stitches to pick up at the neck, all the stitches are held on a stitch holder therefore you can just knit across the live stitches.

I designed a version of this jumper because I have a design called the Gamsber Jumper, for babies and children up to 10 years old, and I had lots of people, ladies and gentlemen pop into the studio and say that wish that jumper was in adult sizes. I love being able to say – It is!
This jumper has been knitted and worn by both males and females.

For this pattern I used:

Yarn & Amounts: 8(9:10:11) 100g hanks of WYS Bluefaced Leicester Aran (100% British BlueFaced Leicester Wool, 166m/182yds per 100g).

Needles: 4mm and 5mm.

Gauge (tension): 21 stitches and 26 rows to 10cm/4ins square over pattern when slightly stretched using 5mm needles.
