Bailey Cardigan Pattern

My design ideas and advice: This cardigan was a request from a knitter who pops into my studio, they loved the Higgins Cardigan and wanted an adult version, so ta-dah! Here it is!
The Bailey Cardigan uses my favourite stitch, the garter stitch. It’s simplicity is it’s beauty.
Knitted in aran weight yarn it is perfect for beginners and a “my first cardigan” project. While for experienced knitters it is a great mindless project, for those moments of just sitting back and relaxing with the knitting.
It is knitted in pieces from the bottom up.

For this pattern I used:

Yarn: 6(7:8:8:9:10) 100g WYS Jacob Aran (100% British Jacob wool, 166m/182yds per 100g) for short version.
OR
7(8:8:9:10:11) 100g hanks of WYS Bluefaced Leicester Aran – Undyed (100% British Bluefaced Leicester wool, 166m/182yds per 100g) for long version

Needles: 5mm.

Notions: 2 buttons.

Gauge (tension): 17 stitches and 32 rows to 10cm/4ins square over garter stitch using 5mm needles.
