Sammy Scarf Pattern

My design ideas and advice: This skinny scarf is perfect to add to colour to any outfit and with the short version using just one ball of double knit yarn is great for using up any odd balls in your stash.

However, what is more exciting then using up stash, trying out new yarns! And with the scarf needing only one or two balls of yarn it is a great way to try out new fibres or shades.

The pattern looks to some like crochet yet it is knit. It looks complicated but once you get usde to the pattern repeat it is super easy. And in fact out of the 8 row repeat, 4 of those rows are just knit.

For this pattern I used:

Yarn: One or two 50g ball(s) of dk weight yarn.
This scarf takes one or two 50g balls depending on how long you want the scarf.

Metres for short version: 110m.
Metres for long version: 220m.

Needles: 4mm.

Gauge (tension): 21 stitches and 32 rows to 10cm/4ins square over pattern using 4mm needles.

Measurements for short version: 9cm x approximately 90cm.
Measurements for long version: 9cm x approximately 185cm.
