My design ideas and advice: This pattern uses the same rib and cable pattern as the Portalla Jumper from my Simple Knits book.
I love designing patterns like this one where the stitches change. This one changes from the smooth panel at the bottom to the cable at the top. I think it’s like the stitches are going on a journey, they start with a smooth, relaxing wander and then go dancing with a cross over cable! If you have visit my Skipton Studio you may have seen my unique felted version of this cushion and how I use it differently.
I knitted one for my sofa in a beautiful natural shade and it’s always the cushion everyone goes to sit on when presented with a choice of where to sit!
