This single pattern is available as a download.

For this pattern I used:

Yarn & Amounts: Four 100g hanks of Superchunky weight yarn.
Or you can use two strands of aran weight yarn held together.

Metres: 252m.

Needles: 8mm.

Notions: Cable needle.
Cushion pad to fit (approx. 35cm x 45cm).
Five buttons.

Gauge (tension): 14 stitches and 15 rows to 10cm square over honeycombe pattern using 8mm needles.

Measurements: Approx. 34cm x 95cm.

My design ideas and advice: This cushion was designed with the Malham Mule, my very first Purl &Jane Yorkshire Yarn. This sold out really quickly and so isn’t available anymore. But I’ve reknitted this cushion using two strands of WYS Bluefaced Leicester Aran – Undyed held together. This cushion uses the honeycombe cable and it reminds me of the stream at Malham Cove that meanders and flows down from the cove through the fields where the mule sheep live. Relax into the knitting and with every stitch a sense of calm will wash over you, transporting you to the tranquil Yorkshire Dales. Once you’ve finished your knitting, you’ll have a cushion that reminds you of the beautiful countryside and the fields where the sheep graze peacefully.

Blog Post: If you wanted to reminisce, I wrote a blog post at the time about the inspirational behind this pattern which included sharing the joy of the launch of my very first Purl &Jane Yorkshire Yarn, click here to read more!
