For this pattern you may use:
Yarn & Amounts: Three 50g balls of chunky weight yarn.
Or you can use two strands of DK weight yarn held together – Two hanks of Bluefaced Leicester DK – Dyed (100% Bluefaced Leicester wool, 225m/246yds per 100g).
Metres: Approx. 140m.
Needles: 6mm needles.
Gauge (tension): 15 stitches and 21 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch using 6mm needles.
Size: To fit all head sizes.
My design ideas and advice: This was designed for my second Learn To Knit class so it’s perfect for you to learn to purl. It is also great for more experienced knitters who are looking for a break between bigger projects or just for a weekend project.
*the yarn I used for this pattern has been discontinued and so I’ve knitted this hat with two strands of Bluefaced Leicester DK together to get the correct gauge (tension).
