My design ideas and advice: I am addicted to knitting this hat. There are so many different colourways to have fun with. The first one I designed was with a solid colour as shade A and a variegated one as shade B. Then I knitted another one where both shade A and B were solid shades, with shade B being slightly darker to give the hat a different dimension. I think I love knitting this pattern so much because there isn’t any sewing up, except securing those last 7 stitches.

*the yarn I used for this pattern has been discontinued and so I’ve suggested the yarn above as a good substitute. I’ve helped visitors to my studio pick shades in this yarn for this pattern and it looked fab!
