For this pattern I used:

Yarn & Amounts for one square: One 50g ball each of aran weight yarn in shade A and shade A.  This amount is based on 100m per 50g.

Metres: 200m.

Needles: 5mm.

Gauge (or tension): 18 stitches and 24 rows to 10cm square over stocking pattern using 5mm needles.

Measurements: approx. 40cm x 40cm.

My design ideas and advice:The materials given are to make one square. One square is perfect for a cushion with a fabric back. If you wish to make a cushion with a square on each side, you will need double the amount, e.g two 50g balls each in shade A and shade B. Or if you wish to make the blanket as in the photograph you need to knit 12 squares, which needs twenty four 50g balls. Then it’s up to you how to place them, I used 3 x 4 squares so it was 160cm x 120cm.
