My design ideas and advice:This pattern is perfect for beginners. While for experienced knitters, like me, it is great for a refreshing knit between projects. One to do while you think of the next project you’ll like to complete. Or one to have while you are knitting a more complicated pattern. Simple squares to knit and not think about. I named it Chusi because the original (now discontinued) yarn to make this design was spun in Peru, so I decided to use a Quechua name for the pattern as Quechua is the native language of rural Peru. I chose Chusi because it means striped woollen blanket.

It is also very satisfying for an experienced knitter as they can easily knit one square comfortably in an evening while watching a film and see their little pile of squares grow.

Included in the Purl &Jane cotton kit bag is:

:: A printed copy of the Chusi Cushion Pattern for free.

:: Two 100g hanks of WYS Croft Shetland Aran in 2 shades (there is a choice of two colourways)

:: 5mm bamboo needles (you can select a kit with or without the needles)

Tension: 17 stitches and 34 rows to 10cm square over garter stitch using 5mm needles.

Measurements: One square measures approx. 16cm x 16cm.
I used a 30cm x 30cm cushion pad
