I designed these mittens for my sister. She spends her Sunday morning on a rugby field watching my young nephews play rugby (or I think it’s called tag rugby at their age) and while she stands on the sidelines her toes and hands get cold
I love this design because it uses my favourite stitch – garter stitch – and has a detail at the edge of it that is simple to do, yet so effective.
To me yarn is precious and should be cherished. So much expertise and creativity goes into creating just one ball of yarn.
